Our community partners Relámpago del Cielo, Inc. (RDC) will perform an inspiring selection of Mexican Folkloric cultural dances on January 15, 2011 at the Orange Coast College Robert B. Moore Theatre, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
RDC is commemorating 35 years of enriching fine and performing arts that combine educational programs for children, youth and young adults in the community. This non-profit organization has served thousands of students over the years; several of which started in pre-school and continued through young adulthood. The group also has adult performers that have continued their college and university education and returned as choreographers and instructors to “give back” to their community.
Today, RDC is the longest-running and leading Mexican Folkloric student performing arts company in Orange County and the Inland Empire. RDC serves the community by providing free dance performances for a wide array of educational and social events and activities. Each year an average of 30,000 children and community members reap the benefits and rewards of Relámpago del Cielo.
