Hey ya'll, sounds like there's a lot of Tejanos around here. I love it!! Grew up in Mexico and now living in DC, but i definitely got Texan roots. My mom lives down there and owns a Mexican restaurant (and even though she's a gringa, she lived in Mexico long enough to cook some amazing Mexican food).

So I was born in Seguin, Texas (Tejano) then grew up in the Willamette Valley (Willamette rhymes with damn-it) - Woodburn, Gervais, Salem (Chicano). But for the last 21 years I have been in Columbus, Ohio (Latino). That's right herman@s there are plenty of Hispanics/Latin@s in Ohio. We are growing! And not only that, soy Buckeye de Ohio State. A buckeye looks like a giant ojo de venado...one of those magical protectors against the "evil eye".

And you know what? You Texas fans are gunna need one of those magical protectors when we meet you at the Fiesta Bowl…lol
